In 2005 the need for GREEN products was not a strong as today but still there was a buzz in the air about environmental issues that the world needs to confront. This was on my mind one afternoon after listening to a morning radio show that was discussing NEW GREEN PRODUCTS that were making a impact on society.

That afternoon I visited a restaurant that I have not been to in many years, as I was leaving I bumped into a old business associate that I have not seen since 10 years ago. He told me he was still in the textile industry but now he was producing only ORGANIC FABRICS. Then he talked about a new fabric that he was producing in China that was geared for HIGH-END BED SHEETS. I was amazed when I heard it was made from Bamboo.

I too was in the textile industry for over 15 years but shifted to real estate when domestic wholesale textile production in Canada began moving rapidly to Asia during the late eighties. so I was quite familiar with textile fibers and garment production. Well after visiting his office and learning more about this revolutionary fabric I was quite impressed. On the way out he offered me a sample of a bed sheet he was producing in China with this NEW bamboo textile.

I gave the set to my wife and she said they felt softer than our good Egyptian cotton sheets. We slept on them that night and I was sold.

I had the best sleep I can ever remember having thanks to a set a sheets, the next day I called up my old associate and discussed the idea buying bamboo bed sheets in wholesale quantity from him.

And so After an initial purchase of 1500 sets of sheets a new GREEN company was born. We started calling 5 star hotels and resorts all around the world and the reaction was outstanding. They were looking for a green products to meet there high standards for there guests and bamboo bed sheets was on there list.

And so SleepBamboo.com was born.

In 2007 with bamboo sheets growing in popularity at an alarming rate it was inevitable that the web was next for us. We started our web site for the wholesale market in bamboo sheets for resorts and hotels, but after a few months and plenty of emails we could not ignore the demand for bamboo sheets on a retail level.

With our new shopping cart software and full stock of king, queen, double, and twin sets in sheets and duvet covers we will be ready to serve the public with high quality certified bamboo bedding online.

Since we just sell bamboo bedding (for now) we can stay focused on delivering a high quality product at a truly affordable price.
